The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), a federal program that sets aside land through cropland retirement. This program could be a large-scale way of introducing complexity into somewhat simplified agricultural landscapes. Incorporating semi-natural habitats into agricultural landscapes has the potential to impact beneficial insects and biocontrol systems. This study was based out of western North Dakota and examines CRP impacts on biocontrol services in agricultural systems, wheat and alfalfa. Ultimately, our results will help us build broad recommendations surrounding CRP impacts in agriculture.
