This mini-workshop focuses on the nexus of person, place, and purpose where the person, also regarded as the science communicator/educator/liaison who may also feel like an outsider- relates the importance of the topic or situation with diverse demographics and can better learn to communicate or "codeswitch" as they interact with different stakeholders and audiences.
The objectives include learning how to share one's story or connection to the topic to the target audience through engaging science storytelling, cultural sensitivity, and relevancy. Examples will be shared from various media platforms.
