Utilizing the basics of entomology as the framework to oversee an entomology, disease and weed management research program

Lauren Fann is the senior pest management specialist for the Almond Board of California (ABC). She has been with the Almond Board since September 2022. Prior to joining ABC, she pursued her PhD in Entomology at the University of Kentucky, focusing on the management of the brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys) in organic and small-acreage farms. In her current role, she oversees the pest management research portfolio which covers insect, disease, nematode and weed management. She also works with companies, universities, and other agencies to help almond growers have access to innovative management practices.
