The symposium will explore olfactory communication and odor detection across different sensory system levels. It will feature neurophysiological approaches, including olfactory processing, behavioral assays targeting pheromone perception or odor detection, molecular approaches identifying genes or expression patterns associated with pheromone communication, and research on olfactory system development and organization.
