As we approach graduation, we often think about how to brand ourselves in a way that sets us apart in a competitive job market. Having a personal brand helps potential employers identify candidates with a specific set of skills suitable for a given position. However, there are times when putting ourselves in a box may inadvertently limit career opportunities that we would have been great for. During this talk, we will explore strategies for creating a versatile personal brand that maintains competitiveness across diverse career paths while avoiding self-imposed limitations. We will also discuss ways to emphasize our skills when pursuing roles that may not perfectly align with our graduate work. This talk aims to equip graduates with practical approaches to self-presentation that enhance their appeal to potential employers across a broad spectrum of opportunities.
