Due to their generally minute size, mites are not often photographed by people, even acarological researchers. While illustrations, SEM and images from slide-mounted specimens are common, live color and brightfield images are less often produced despite the more true-to-life visualization they provide. This presentation will cover some techniques, equipment, and software used to take and edit images of live or life-like mites, in both the field and lab.
