Pest Elateridae spp. reduce marketability and transmit disease in potatoes and other root crops. Comprised of many species, they often have differing life cycles but morphologically similar appearances. Knowledge of life cycle is a key component in making effective management decisions, but wireworm populations are poorly studied in Vermont. Vermont farm fields have been sampled at different times over the growing season to determine what species affect northwest Vermont growers, how their populations differ across crops, and if species are active at different times. This information will be compiled in the poster.
