Introductory remarks

The topics discussed in this symposium will include the areas of tick ecology, biology, molecular physiology, and microbiome focusing on three main aspects:

1) Innovative approaches for tick management

2) Elucidating the molecular biology and understanding of alpha-gal syndrome

3) The cellular and molecular biology of tick-pathogen-microbiome interactions.

We hope that the shared knowledge and discussions during this symposium can provide valuable insights into novel directions for future research aimed at mitigating tick-associated illness.
