The theme of ESA 2024 is “Empowering tomorrow with insect science.” Current population demographics point to a greater percentage of new scientists coming from nontraditional backgrounds. This symposium will highlight the efforts of Dr. Michael Haverty and his significant contributions to the inclusion, diversity, and professional development missions of ESA.
