Abigail started as the daughter of an entomologist who served in the chemical production space for over 30 years. She then started her journey to becoming an Entomologist first at CSU Monterey and then at Louisinana State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Pest and Soil Mangement with a minor in Agriculture and a Master's in Entomology. She has been serving in the industry for a little over 6 years now in the specialty crop space in California. Abigail is a licensed PCA in California and she works for Semios, an online IPM platform and Farm Management software, and a mating disruption provider for multiple pests and crops. She is a supporter in many roles as an entomologist on the sales team. She has also had roles that have crossed over into marketing, research, and product. She consults on pests with her customers and helps drive technological adoption to her growers and advisors who use their data. She hopes to shed light on the diversity that entomology can open up for job opportunities for the next generation.
