Entomologist Mississippi State University Stoneville, Mississippi
The Mid-South Entomology Working Group is an informal group of entomologists in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas that work on insect pest issues of row crops. This group has functioned for decades. The group’s focus was primarily cotton until ca. 15 to 20 years ago. The group has included both extension and research entomologists. This group has taken ideas (concerns/questions) from consultants and growers, conducted research to address these, and provided the results and recommendations to consultants and growers across multiple states.
