Extension Agent II University of Tennessee Clinton, Tennessee
Insects are the most diverse organisms on earth and the career of an extension entomologist can certainly prove to be as well. As an extension professional we are tasked with providing research-based information to a range of clients where questions can vary from simple insect identification to large-scale integrated pest management decisions. Whether your background is solely focused on one specialty or another, our clients trust that we will provide accurate, unbiased solutions. It is critical that we communicate these solutions effectively as well-rounded entomologists. This communication can come in many forms from site visits to field days, but it is our local partnerships that will ultimately enhance our overall mission towards growing better communities. This presentation will discuss the journey of a county-based extension agent and the importance of utilizing community networks towards greater impact.
