One woman show in the great state of Texas but not alone – the changes and challenges to being a statewide entomologist

My decade and a half transition from a forensic entomologist to a Livestock/Medical Extension Specialist has been met with twists and turns and challenges. Being the first woman to every hold a statewide Extension Entomology specialist position to supervising vector education programs for the entire state annually and to surrounding states in addition to being the only livestock entomologist for TAMU Extension is both rewarding and exhausting all at the same time.
