A two-year field study quantified the performance and additive value of native resistance and existing Bt traits across the range of water-deficit production conditions in field corn. Performance of eight experimental corn hybrids (TRIP35 x NS, TRIP37 x NS, BMP-1 x NS, BMP-2 x NS, TRIP35 x NSVT2P, TRIP37 x NSVT2P, BMP-1 x NSVT2P, BMP-2 x NSVT2P) and two widely grown commercial check hybrids (BH8703VIP3110 and DKC66-29 TRE) were evaluated at various production conditions. The severity of fall armyworm and corn armyworm and the resulting impact on aflatoxin content in corn kernels was also quantified. The relationship between FAW severity in corn and potential FAW population in adjacent cotton was also examined.
